Process of Apoptosis

Localized fat reduction

Cryo 21 finds its effectiveness by lowering the skin temperature to have the desired effect and the removal of localised fat cells.

Process of apoptosis:

Adipocytes are sensitive to cold and, at working temperatures, they undergo a process of apoptosis, i.e. programmed death, which involves the breaking of the cell membrane and the spontaneous, slow and gradual emptying of the adipose cell.

Another example: we all know that, in an adult organism, the number of cells contained in an organ must remain constant within a certain margin.

Blood cells and lining epithelia, for example, are constantly renewed from their stem progenitors; but proliferation is compensated by constant cell death.

In an adult human organism around 50-70 billion cells die every day due to apoptotic processes. In one year, the mass of cells reciprocated is equal to the mass of the body itself.

Gelida Cryo speeds up this process and adipose fat cells are flushed out the body via the lymphatic system over a two week treatment interval.
