Warnings and precautions

These instructions are meant as an integral part of the device and must always be kept close at hand.
All the security or warning instructions must be observed and provided with the equipment when it is transferred to another operative staff.
Read all warnings, precautions and indication of use before starting the use of the device.
Even if the equipment was designed observing the current security regulations, its correct and appropriate use is the best security warranty.
It is necessary to follow the rules of this manual to ensure the security to all the people in the area where the device is working.
This equipment must be used only by operative staff who have been informed about the use in security of the technology and who is able to correctly use the software of the IO S21.
Electrical security of the IO S21 is ensured only when it is correctly connected to an efficient earthed connection, according to the current security regulations of your country.
It is necessary to verify this fundamental requirement of security and, in case of doubt, to ask for a careful control of the plant by qualified staff. The producer of the device cannot be considered responsible for
possible damages due to the lack of an efficient installation of the ground connection. The operation without a protective ground connection is forbidden.
Before the connection of the equipment, it is necessary to control that the required tension (that is indicated on the label) corresponds to the available electricity grid.
The equipment must not be used in environmental conditions that do not correspond to the limits indicated in “Technical Features”.

Warnings and precautions during the use of an electronic device
The use of any kind of electronic device required the observance of some fundamental rules, in particular:
– Do not touch the device with wet or dirty hands or feet.
– Do not use the equipment barefoot.
– Do not let the equipment connected without using it. Switch it off when not in use.
– Do not use the equipment in places where it could get wet.

3.6.3 Warnings and precautions to the use of Io S21
READ CAREFULLY THE CONTRAINDICATIONS (PAR. 2)
AND THE ADVERSE EFFECTS (PAR 2.1) IN THE PRESENT USER MANUAL.
Before switching on the equipment, be sure that the air shafts are not partially or totally impeded.
While the equipment is being operated, it is necessary that the user adopts the following precautions during the treatment:
– Remove any obstacle that impedes the immediate visualization of the frontal panel
– Do not trust the indicator lights. If one of them is switched off, it does not assure that the equipment is not working: the filament could have burnt.
– Avoid the use of other devices connected to the client during the treatment.
– Do not administrate any treatment through clothes or tissues.
– Remove any kind of conductor material in the area that is going to be treated.
– Do not apply the device on areas that contains implants, except for prostheses and/or dental implant.
– Remove any hearing aid
– Remove any metal (jewellery, watches, earrings, etc.) on clients before the treatment.
– In case the device starts the protection program and stop, it is necessary to switch off the machine,
then to switch it on and select the program again.
– A cosmetic product must be always used under any kind of handle, equally applied on the area of the client to be treated.
– To not use in presence of anaesthetic, gassy, liquid or flammable substances.
– Do not allow that liquids flow inside the device. Do not immerse it in water. Before cleaning, switch it off and disconnect from the electricity. Do not sterilize handles and/or the equipment.
– The equipment IO S21 must be used for the purpose it is properly designed for. Any other kind of use must be considered improper and dangerous.
– The producer cannot be considered responsible for possible damages due to an improper, wrong or unreasonable use.
– It is dangerous to edit or try to edit the features of the devices.
– Before doing any cleaning or maintenance operation, disconnect all devices from the electricity, removing the plug from the wall socket or switching off the general on-off button of the plant.
– In case of breaking or dysfunction of the equipment, switch it off immediately. For a possible fix, it is necessary to refer only to an authorized service centre and demand other original parts to be
replaced. If these regulations are not observed, the security of the equipment could be compromised and become dangerous for the user.

Warnings and precautions to the maintenance of the equipment
The technical assistant operator must never apply changes inside the equipment without the immediate presence of another person that could provide assistance or first aid in case of need.

Diagnostic evaluations
It is appropriate to do some diagnostic evaluation before, during and after every treatment.
– Client general aesthetic evaluation
– General health condition.
– Verify that there are not cutaneous symptoms due to infections and/or dermatitis which have an inflammatory or infectious origin.
– Take measurements like circumferences and bioelectrical impendence and photos of the treated area
